So, I am officially graduated as of like 8 days ago and life is grand. I don't have to wait anymore for school to start again, or finishing up one last paper, or dreading school beginning again because that means that I haven't passed the BPE yet. WAHOO...I'm done. Graduation went well, I can't really complain too much. I wish that the Registrar would have had hoods for us to buy, we had to give them back right away when we graduated. I'm glad about the robe though, I have one of those from High School and college that I don't do much with. They crammed us into a small room and made us wait like an hour before things started and we were getting hot and crabby, but it was worth the wait I guess. Bishop Anderson spoke and he had a lot to say, but to be honest I didn't pay attention that much. I was too busy looking at the mullet across the room. HE HE...
I have been doing a lot since that wonderful day May 22, 2005. I helped my mom out at school almost everyday last week. I graded her papers and put the grades into the grade book. It is always weird going back to the place you went to school at. I get to play the wonderful game of, "avioding-the-teachers-I-didn't-like-at-all-costs" game. It works for the most part, sometimes one does walk past me though.
I had a great weekend with the McPeake fam. On Friday Cindy, her mom Winnie, and I went down to Milton and stayed with her sister Trina in preparations for going to see Wicked the next day in Chicago. We went with 15 other people I didn't know, so there was 20 of us. (We met Cindy's brother Scott down there.) It was a fun time in Chicago. We went and ate at Ed Debevics, I love the atmosphere there. I love it that I can be rude to the waiters and they can be just as rude back. If I were to ever work at a restaurant, it would be that one.
WIcked was really good. I haven't read the book yet or anything, but I am going to start it soon. I really liked it though. I have a whole new perspective on the Wicked Witch of the West, but the flying monkeys still gave me a nightmare.
We drove back to Appleton that night and we went to Celebrate DePere on Sunday. The Gin Blossoms were playing and they were a little lame. I enjoyed the company though. Cindy and I went down to Oshkosh and picked up Jeremiah and so, CIndy, Jeremiah, Scott, her dad Larry and I went to it. It sort of sucked that we needed tickets to buy the beer and food, but we got over it. I think the band only had like 20 fans in attendance, it was kind of aweful. We went back to Cindy's then and played Cribbage. Scott and I were partners and we lost, but we had never played before so it was ok I guess. You know, I am so glad I have the dad I do, Larry would not stop on the way back so Cindy and I could pee. My dad would have atleast gotten off so we could walk into a field or something.
THen I went home Monday and weeded and tilled a garden. I just don't understand why people garden, it seems a bit pointless to me.
People I Miss the Most TOday:
Cindy and Sarah, I won't see them until September.....
